There was a time, in the history of world civilization, when `miracles`, or what was perceived to be a miracle, took precedence over human reason and logic. But how do we define the term `miracle`? A miracle is anything that takes place out of the normal course of life and for which humankind has no explanation. However, we must be careful before we accept something as a miracle. An article in `The Times of India`, Mumbai, in 1993 reported that `a saint` by the name `Baba Pilot` claimed to have stayed continuously submerged under water in a tank for three consecutive days and nights. However, when reporters wanted to examine the base of the tank of water where he claimed to have performed this `miraculous` feat, he refused to let them do so. He argued by asking as to how one could examine the womb of a mother that gives birth to a child. The `Baba` was hiding something. It as a gimmick simply to gain publicity. Surely, no modern man with even the slightest inkling towards rational thinking would accept such a `miracle`. If such false miracles are the tests of divinity, then we would have to accept Mr. P.C. Sorcar, the world-famous magician known for his ingenious magical tricks and illusions, as the best god-man. A book, claiming Divine origin, is in effect, claiming to be a miracle. Such a claim should be easily verifiable in any age, according to the standards of that age. Muslims believe, that the Qur`an is the last and final revelation of God, the miracle of miracles revealed as a mercy to humankind. Let us therefore investigate the veracity of this belief. -

But even good translator always finds it difficult to translate the special terms from Arabic. A cursory look at the translation of various Islamic works would reveal the discrepancies between the Arabic text and its translation, on one hand, and the different renderings of the same Arabic terms by different translators or even by the same translator at different times. This dictionary is the solution to these problems.a

Amongst the countless blessings which Almighty Allah has bestowed upon the Muslims is that He has preserved their religion for them and provided the appropriate means for Islam to be safeguarded and preserved, in that He has raised erudite scholars through whom the Sunnah of the Noble Prophet, Muhammad ibn Abdullah صلّی الله علیهِ وآلهِ وسلم, the seal of the prophets صلّی الله علیهِ وآلهِ وسلم, has been preserved. Thus the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of the Prophet صلّی الله علیهِ وآلهِ وسلم provide evidence against mankind. One of the scholars through whom Allah preserved the Sunnah was Imaam Ahmad ibn Hanbal (Rahimahullah), and one of the books that he wrote to preserve the Sunnah is al-Musnad, which is one of the major collections of the noble Sunnah.Muslim scholars, particularly hadeeth scholars, were keen on ahaadeeth with few narrators between the hadeeth reporter and the Prophet صلّی الله علیهِ وآلهِ وسلم. In fact, Imaam Ahmad reported more than three hundred `thulaathiyyaat`, ahaadeeth with only three narrators between him and the Prophet صلّی الله علیهِ وآلهِ وسلم. These ahaadeeth were collected from al-Musnad by Shaikh Muhammad ibn Ahmad ibn Saalim as-Saffaareenee al-Hanbalee (Rahimahullah) in a separate book.This example clearly points to the great care shown by hadeeth scholar to the Prophet`s Sunnah, as they were keen to compile the Sunnah with the soundest chains of narrators (isnaad) and convey it in the easiest manner possible, from leading scholars of hadeeth who were of extremely good character and who approached the reports with accuracy and deep knowledge, in compliance with to the Prophet`s instructions: `Convey [whatever you learn] from me. even if it is just one verse.` (Narrated by al-Bukhaaree)

`اسلام کی نظر میں وضع کی درستی اصلاح قلب کا لازمی جزو ہے۔ یہ تو ہو سکتا ہے کہ وضع درست ہو اور دل درست نہ ہو لیکن یہ ممکن نہیں ہے کہ دل درست ہو اور وضع پر اس کا کچھ اثر نہ پڑے۔ اصلاحِ وضع میں داڑھی کو خاص اہمیت حاصل ہے۔ داڑھی کا رکھنا دل کی ایمانی قوت کا اظہار ہے اور داڑھی منڈوانا دل کی کراہت و نیت کی خرابی کی علامت ہے۔ جس کا دل پاک صاف ہو، وہ تو اللہ اور اس کے رسول ﷺ کا فرماں بردار ہوتا ہے۔ یہ کیسے ممکن ہے کہ گنا ہ پر اصرار کرتے رہیں اور دل بھی صاف ہو؟ رسول اللہ ﷺ کی صورت مبارکہ یعنی داڑھی سے نفرت ہو اور روح بھی پاک ہو، یہ کیسے ممکن ہے؟ داڑھی بڑھانے اور مونچھیں کٹانے کے متعلق رسول اللہ ﷺ نے سخت تاکید فرمائی ہے اور اس کا حکم دیا ہے۔ پس کوئی مسلمان رسول اللہ ﷺ کی حکم عدولی اور نا فرمانی نہیں کر سکتا۔ اگر ہمیں اپنے آقا ﷺ سے محبت ہے تو ضروری ہے کہ ہم بھی اپنا چہرہ اس جیسا بنا لیں۔ -

شرک ایک ایسی لعنت ہے جو انسان کوجہنم کے گڑھے میں پھینک دیتی ہے قرآن کریم میں شرک کوبہت بڑا ظلم قرار دیا گیا ہے اور شرک ایسا گناہ کہ اللہ تعالی انسان کے تمام گناہوں کو معاف کردیں گے لیکن شرک جیسے عظیم گناہ کو معاف نہیں کریں گے ۔شرک اس طرح انسانی عقل کوماؤف کردیتا ہےکہ انسان کوہدایت گمراہی اور گمراہی ہدایت نظر آتی ہے ۔نیز شرک اعمال کو ضائع وبرباد کرنے والا اور ثواب سے محروم کرنے والا ہے ۔ پہلی قوموں کی تباہی وبربادی کاسبب شرک ہی تھا۔ چنانچہ جس کسی نے بھی محبت یا تعظیم میں اللہ کے علاوہ کسی کواللہ کے برابر قرار دیا یا ملت ابراہیمی کے مخالف نقوش کی پیروی کی وہ مشرک ہے۔تردید شرک اور اثبات کےسلسلے میں اہل علم نے تحریر اور تقریری صورت میں بےشمار خدمات انجام دیں۔ ماضی میں شیخ الاسلام محمد بن الوہاب کی اشاعت توحید کےسلسلے میں خدمات بڑی اہمیت کی حامل ہیں ۔شیخ الاسلام ،مجدد العصر محمد بن عبد الوہاب کی شخصیت کسی تعارف کی محتاج نہیں ہے۔آپ ایک متبحر عالم دین،قرآن وحدیث اور متعدد علوم وفنون میں یگانہ روز گار تھے۔آپ نے اپنی ذہانت وفطانت اور دینی علوم پر استدراک کے باعث اپنے زمانے کے بڑے بڑے علماء دین کو متاثر کیا اور انہیں اپنا ہم خیال بنایا۔آپ نے قرآن وسنت کی توضیحات کے ساتھ ساتھ شرک وبدعات کے خلاف علمی وعملی دونوں میدانوں میں زبر دست جہاد کیا۔آپ متعدد کتب کے مصنف ہیں۔جن میں سے ایک کتاب (کتاب التوحید) ہے۔مسائل توحید پر یہ آپ کی بہترین کتابوں میں سے ایک ہے،اور سند وقبولیت کے اعتبار سے اس کا درجہ بہت بلند ہے۔علماء کا اس بات پر اتفاق ہ کہ اسلام میں توحید کے موضوع پرکتاب التوحید جیسی کوئی کتاب نہیں لکھی گئی۔یہ کتاب توحید کی طرف دعوت دینے والی ہے ۔ایک طویل مدت سے دنیائے علم میں اس کی اشاعت جاری ہے اور اب تک عرب وعجم میں کروڑوں بے راہروں کو ہدایت کا راستہ دکھانے اور انہیں کفر وضلالت کے اندھیروں سے نکال کر توحید کی روشنی میں لانے کا فریضہ ادا کر چکی ہے۔ اس کتاب کی اہمیت کے افادیت کے پیشِ نظر متعد د اہل علم نےاس کی شروحات بھی لکھی ہیں اور کئی علماء نے اس کتاب کےمتعد د زبانوں میں ترجمہ بھی کیا ہے۔اردو زبان میں بھی اس کےمتعدد علماء نےترجمے کیے جسے سعودی حکومت اور اشاعتی اداروں نے لاکھوں کی تعداد میں شائع کر کے فری تقسیم کیا ہے۔ زیر تبصرہ کتاب ’’غایۃ المرید فی شرح کتاب التوحید‘‘ بھی کتاب التوحید کی ایک عربی شرح کا ترجمہ ہے۔ یہ شرح سعودی عرب کی اہم شخصیت شیخ صالح بن عبد العزیز بن محمد ابراہیم اٰل الشیخ کی تحریر کردہ ہے -
یقیناً قیامت بہت بڑی حقیقت ہے جو ارشاد ربانی کے مطابق واقع ہو کر رہے گی۔ اس دن سب انسان دوبارہ زندہ کردیئے جائیں گے۔ پھر سب کشاں کشاں آئیں گے اور حشر کے ہجوم و ہیجان میں اپنے اپنے اعمال کا حساب دیں گے۔ زیرِ نظر کتاب اسی حقیقت عظمیٰ کی یاد دہانی اور فکر آخرت کے لیے لکھی گئی ہے اس میں قران کریم اور احادیث رسول ﷺ کی روشنی میں بتایا گیا ہے کہ قیامت کا دن کیسا ہوگا؟ اس دن کتنی زبردست وحشت، گھبراہٹ اور ہولناکی چھائی ہوئی ہوگی؟ لوگ پلِ صراط سے کس طرح گزریں گے۔ جنتی لوگ کتنے خوش و خرم ہوں گے اور کافروں ، مشرکوں اور بدکاروں کا کیا انجام ہوگا۔ اس کتاب میں قیامت کے دن رسوائی سے بچنے اور جنت میں جانے کے آسان طریقے بتائے گئے ہیں۔ ہر مسلمان بہن بھائی کو اپنی آخرت سنوارنے کے لیے اس کا مطالعہ ضرور کرنا چاہیے۔
