Ever since the dawn of human life on this planet, Man has always sought to understand Nature, his own place in the scheme of Creation and the purpose of Life itself. In this quest for Truth, spanning many centuries and diverse civilizations, organized religion has shaped human life and determined to a large extent, the course of history. While some religions have been based on books, claimed by their adherents to be divinely inspired, others have relied solely on human experience. Al-Qur`an the main source of the Islamic faith, is a book believed by Muslims, to be of completely Divine origin. Muslims also believe that it contains Divine guidance for all humankind. Since the message of the Qur`an is believed to be at all times, it should be relevant to every age. Does the Qur`an pass this test? In this booklet, I intend to give an objective analysis of the Muslim belief regarding the Divine origin of the Qur`an, in the light of established scientific discoveries. There was a time, in the history of world civilization, when `miracles`, or what was perceived to be a miracle, took precedence over human reason and logic. But how do we define the term `miracle`? A miracle is anything that takes place out of the normal course of life and for which humankind has no explanation. However, we must be careful before we accept something as a miracle. An article in `The Times of India`, Mumbai, in 1993 reported that `a saint` by the name `Baba Pilot` claimed to have stayed continuously submerged under water in a tank for three consecutive days and nights. However, when reporters wanted to examine the base of the tank of water where he claimed to have performed this `miraculous` feat, he refused to let them do so. He argued by asking as to how one could examine the womb of a mother that gives birth to a child. The `Baba` was hiding something. It as a gimmick simply to gain publicity. Surely, no modern man with even the slightest inkling towards rational thinking would accept such a `miracle`. If such false miracles are the tests of divinity, then we would have to accept Mr. P.C. Sorcar, the world-famous magician known for his ingenious magical tricks and illusions, as the best god-man. A book, claiming Divine origin, is in effect, claiming to be a miracle. Such a claim should be easily verifiable in any age, according to the standards of that age. Muslims believe, that the Qur`an is the last and final revelation of God, the miracle of miracles revealed as a mercy to humankind. Let us therefore investigate the veracity of this belief. -
Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah is one of the greatest scholars and reformers in Islamic history, which emerged at time of great turmoil and confusion to call the Muslims to return to the path of Quran and Sunnah, the path of the prophet (SAWW) and the early generations of this Ummah (Salaf). This is the fourth book in studying the reign of the Rightly Guided Caliphs. It relates the life of the Leader of the Believers, `Ali, may Allah be pleased with him, from birth until his martyrdom. The book relates with detail how he came to Islam and his most important actions in Makkah, his migration to Madinah, his life in Madinah, his campaigns and battles alongside the Messenger of Allah, his life during the era of Rightly Guided Caliphs and his swearing of allegiance and his period of Caliphate. It also discusses the internal problems that `Ali faced during his reign. خواب خصالِ انسانی کاحصہ ہیں ہر انسان زندگی میں اس سے دوچار ہوتا ہے کبھی اسے اچھے اور کبھی بڑے خوف ناک خواب دکھائی دیتے ہیں ۔ جب آدمی اچھے خواب دیکھتا ہے تو اس بات کی تڑپ ہوتی ہے کہ خواب میں اسے کیا اشارہ فرماتی ہیں کہ پہلے پہلے جس کے ساتھ رسول اللہ ﷺ پر وحی کی ابتدا کی گئی وہ نیند میں خواب تھے آپ جوبھی خواب دیکھتے اس کی تعبیر صج کے پھوٹنےکی مانند بالکل آشکارہوجاتی ‘‘اور نبی ﷺنے فرمایا ’’نیک آدمی کا اچھا خواب نبوت کے چھیالیسویں حصے میں سے ہے ‘‘ فرمان نبوی ﷺ کے مطابق جب قیامت قریب آجائےگی تو مسلمان کا کوئی خواب غلط ثابت نہیں ہوگا۔ ان میں سے سب سےسچے خواب دیکھنے والا وہ شخص ہوگا جو سب سےزیادہ سچ بولتا ہوگا۔ مسنداحمد میں ہے آپ ﷺ نےفرمایا کہ میرے بعدصرف مبشّرات باقی رہ جائیں گی۔صحابہ نےعرض کی: اے اللہ کے رسول ! مبشرات کیا ہیں تو آپﷺ نےفرمایا: اچھا خواب جومسلمان دیکھتا ہے۔ نبی کریم ﷺ نماز فجر کےبعد صحابہ کرام کے خواب سنتے اوران کی تعبیر فرماتے۔ سیدنا یوسف کا خواب اوراس کی تعبیر اوران کی خوابوں کی تعبیر سیکھنے کےمتعلق دعا کا ذکر اللہ تعالیٰ نےقرآن مجیدمیں کیا ہے۔خوابوں کی تعبیر ،احکام او راقسام کے حوالوں سے احادیث میں تفصیل موجود ہے۔ زیر تبصرہ کتاب ’’ خوابوں کی تعبیریں‘‘ آٹھویں صدی ہجری کے مایۂ ناز عالم امام محمد بن عبد اللہ بن راشد کی شاہکار کتاب ’’المرتبۃ العلیا فی تعبیر الرؤیا‘‘ کا اردوترجمہ ہے۔ خواب کیا ہے؟ اس کی کتنی اقسام ہیں؟ خواب آئے تو کیاکرناچاہیے؟ اورعلم تعبیر کیا ہے؟ اوریہ کس قدر وسیع علم ہے ؟مذکورہ تما م بحثیں کتاب ہذا میں موجود ہیں۔ یہ کتاب جہاں خواب دیکھنے والوں کے لیے عمدہ کاوش ہے وہاں علم تعبیر کاشغف رکھنے والوں کےلیے بھی ایک گراں قدر تحفہ ہے۔ مصنف کتاب نے اسے 17 ابواب میں تقسیم کیا ہے اور پھران ابواب کی سیکڑوں ذیلی سرخیوں کے تحت ہزاروں خوابوں کی تعبیریں بیان کی گئی ہیں۔ اس کتاب کو عربی اردو قالب میں ڈھالنے کا کام محمد واصف مرحوم نے شروع کیا تھا اس کام کی تکمیل نہ ہوئی تھی کہ موصوف زندگی 37 بہاریں گزار کر اسی عارضی جہاں سے رخصت ہوگئے۔ان کی وفات کےبعد فاضل نوجوان قمر حسن نے ترجمےکی تکمیل بھی کی اورتسہیل و نظرثانی کا کام بھی بڑی خوش اسلوبی سے نبہایاترجمے کا اسلوب عام فہم ، سادہ، دلچسپ اور سلیس ہے۔ اللہ تعالی ٰ اس کتاب کو عوام وخواص کے لیے نفع مند بنائے ہوا ہے اور جب برے خواب ہوں تو خوف زادہ ہوجاتاہے ایسے میں انسان کی قرآن وسنت سے راہنمائی بہت ضروری ہے۔ حضرت عائشہ
