In this book, the author has widely described the main principle of Taqleed. He says that Allah and Prophet Mohammed (SAW) have not ordered us to follow any opinions and interpretations. So there`s a possibility of being correct or incorrect in the opinions because there are many issues on which the Imams had different views and they explain them according to their own reasons and speculations, but the real and true Islam is based on the book (Quran) and Prophet`s Sunnah. One of the wise people once said: `I am amazed at the one who feels grief over the loss of his wealth but yet he does not feel grief over the loss of his lifes pan (which occurs daily).` So strive hard in worship (of Allah), weep over your sins and flee from the punishment (in the Hereafter). The victorious one is he who directs his hopes toward that which is everlasting and cuts off his aspirations for that which is temporary. When Muhammad bin Sirin was about to die, he wept. It was said to him: `Why are you weeping?` He replied: `I am weeping due to my lapses in the days that have passed and the small number of deeds that I performed seeking the lofty Paradise. -

اس وقت آپ کے سامنے صحاح ستہ کی آخری کتاب ’سنن ابن ماجہ‘ کا سلیس اور رواں اردو ترجمہ ہے۔ صحاح ستہ میں سے بخاری و مسلم کی تمام احادیث کی صحت پر محدثین متفق ہیں لیکن بقیہ چار کتب ایسی ہیں جن میں صحیح احادیث کے ساتھ ساتھ ضعیف احادیث بھی شامل ہیں۔سنن ابن ماجہ کو پانچویں صدی ہجری کے آخر میں کتب ستہ میں شمار کیا جانے لگا۔اس کے بعد ہر دور میں یہ کتاب اپنی حیثیت منواتی گئی ۔ صحت و قوت کے لحاظ سے صحیح ابن حبان، سنن دار قطنی اور دوسری کئی کتب سنن ابن ماجہ سے برتر تھیں لیکن ان کتب کو وہ پذیرائی اور قبول عام حاصل نہ ہوسکا جو سنن ابن ماجہ کو حاصل ہوا۔’سنن ابن ماجہ‘ کا اسلوب نہایت شاندار ہے اور تراجم ابواب کی احادیث کی مطابقت نہایت واضح ہے۔ کتاب مختصر ہونے کے باوجود احکام و مسائل میں نہایت جامع ہے۔ امام ابن ماجہ نے اپنی سنن میں 482 ایسی صحیح احادیث کا اضافہ کیا ہے جو باقی کتب خمسہ میں نہیں ہیں۔ ’سنن ابن ماجہ‘ کی اسی اہمیت کےپیش نظر مولانا عطاء اللہ ساجد نے افادہ عام کے لیے اسے اردو میں منتقل کرنے کا بیڑہ اٹھایا۔ مولانا نے کتاب کا عمدہ ترجمہ کرنے کے ساتھ ساتھ ہر حدیث سے ثابت ہونے والے فوائد کا بھی متصل تذکرہ کیا ہے۔ حافظ صلاح الدین یوسف صاحب کی نظر ثانی اور تصحیح و اضافات نے کتاب کی افادیت کو بڑھا دیا ہے۔ تخریج و تحقیق کے لیے حافظ زبیر علی زئی کی خدمات حاصل کی گئی ہیں انہوں نے ہر حدیث پر اپنی تحقیق کے مطابق حکم لگایا ہے کہ وہ صحیح، حسن یا ضعیف ہے۔
