There are many dictionaries concerning many fields of life, but we do not yet have an explanatory dictionary regarding Islamic terms. So we tried to fill that gap with this dictionary and hopefully give the Readers a sufficient ground towards a better understanding of Islam. -
چونکہ بہت سے مسلمان عربی زبان نہیں جانتے اور نہ ہی اُنہیں زندگی میں باقاعدہ عربی سیکھنے کا موقعہ ملتا ہے، اسی لیے وہ مختلف تراجم کی طرف رخ کرتے ہیں۔ لیکن ترجموں میں بھی بہت سی مشکلات کا سامنا کرنا پڑتا ہے۔ اسی لیے یہ ڈکشنری ترتیب دی گئی ہے کہ قاری کسی بھی مشکل لفظ کا با آسانی معنی جان سکے اور اپنے علم کی پیاس بجھی۔ Since the majority of the followers of Islam are not native speakers of Arabic, and many of them may not have the chance to learn it properly, translation has been resorted to, and however incomplete it may be. But even good translator always finds it difficult to translate the special terms from Arabic. A cursory look at the translation of various Islamic works would reveal the discrepancies between the Arabic text and its translation, on one hand, and the different renderings of the same Arabic terms by different translators or even by the same translator at different times. This dictionary is the solution to these problems.a

Early Days Stories of the Beginning of Creation and the Early Prophets from Adam to Yoonus by Darussalam is a quality book whose text has been derived from Al-Bidayah wan-Nihayah of Ibn Katheer. It starts with the biography of Al-Hafiz Ibn Kathir and then gives a detailed description of the Creation of the Throne, the Kursi, Al-Lawh, the Heavens and the Earth. Then it goes on to mention the creation of angels and their attributes, the jinn and their attributes and the story of Satan.
